Chaperone Automatic Spyhole DoorCam Description
The Chaperone Spyhole DoorCam records movement detected by the built-in PIR sensor and will capture video and sound of every person who comes to your door, whether you are in or not!
The camera has a high resolution 1.5" TFT LCD screen (480 x 240 pixels) with Auto White Balance that delivers sharp, clear images from the external camera. The unit has a wide 86 degree horizontal - 60 degrees vertical viewing angle so that the occupier gets an excellent view of activity and all visitors outside your door.
The PIR is sensitive to about 2 metres range and each time the movement sensor is triggered by someone going near your door, the unit will automatically record a sound and video clip along with a time and date stamp. This recording may then be used as evidence by the police to help identify and catch bogus tradesmen, distraction burglaries, intimidation, anti-social behaviour and many other applications.
The patented mounting system means you can quickly and easily install the unit in a few minutes if replacing an existing door viewer or about 30 minutes for a new installation.
The unit records as soon as the PIR senses movement within range and continues until 5 seconds after movement ceases. Complete with an internal 28Mb of memory but will also take up to a 4Gb SD Card (not supplied).
If the memory is full, it will automatically overwrite the oldest files in succession and will also display the amount of time that has already been recorded AND how much time is remaining.
