Chaperone® Automatic Spyhole DoorCam Description
The Chaperone® Spyhole DoorCam records movement detected by the built-in PIR sensor and will capture video and sound of every person who comes to your door, whether you are in or not!
Quite simply the most innovative product we have seen. Easily fixed to your main door, the PIR sensor automatically records both in vision and sound EVERY visitor, welcome or otherwise in its memory. It is supplied with an in-built 28Mb of memory but also allows the inserting of an SD Card (available at most electronic stores) of between 1Gb and 4Gb so that captured images may be downloaded and removed .
This modern day Spyhole allows you to see and speak (if you want to) to the caller but also keeps a visual and audio electronic record of each event.
It records along with a time and date stamp each occasion it is activated so that you can identify who and when easily and quickly via it’s screen playback facility. Not only is this useful to check who called whilst you were not in attendance, but also proof if, in the event of an incident the authorities may require identification evidence whether it be due to, for example, intimidation, bogus callers or attempted break ins. This will provide with much needed help. The memory card can easily be downloaded to a computer thus keeping the information independently on file.
If and when the memory becomes full, it will automatically overwrite the oldest files in succession and will also display the amount of time that has already been recorded AND how much time is remaining.
The patented mounting system has been designed to make installation effortless and simple. As quick as a few minutes if replacing an existing door viewer or about 30 minutes for a new installation.
For the technically minded, the camera has a high resolution 1.5” TFT LCD screen (480 x 240 pixels), with an Auto White Balance system that delivers sharp clear images from the external lense. The unit has a wide 86 degree horizontal and 60 degree vertical viewing angle so that the occupier has an excellent view of activity and persons outside your door.
The PIR and movement sensor reacts automatically to anyone coming within a 2 metre range of the door. The unit then records as soon as a movement is sensed for a period of 5 seconds. It will record these '5 second' bursts each time it is activated.
This 21st century version of the old fashioned peephole has really entered the electronic age; no wires, no tapes, no discs and no moving parts. Designed for both domestic and commercial premises. But equally can act as a valuable source of record in restricted areas. i.e. hazardous areas, controlled substances, medical supplies in fact any secure area governed by a door.
