Batteries: Your Pocket Keyring Torch Personal Safety Alarm is pre-fitted with two AAA batteries. To activate the power, simply pull out the protective pvc which is protruding from the battery compartment. It is recommended that you test your alarm regularly. In order to change the battery, unscrew the battery compartment and replace the old batteries.
Activation:
This personal safety alarm has been designed with your lifestyle in mind. The size of the alarm is such that it can be unobtrusively kept in pockets or bags. In this instance you should leave the rip-cord attachment in place. We have included a key ring attachment so that the alarm can be permanently carried with you if you prefer. Again the design is such that it’s function is unobtrusive if used in this manner.
NB we recommend that you do not keep all your keys on one key ring. If you should ever need to activate the siren, pull the rip-cord or key ring attachment out of the alarm. To stop the siren, replace the rip-cord or key ring attachment.
Independent Torch Facility:
To activate the torch, press down the small button on the front of the safety alarm and release to switch off. It is intended that the torch will encourage you to keep the alarm with you in case anything should ever happen, particularly when returning to your home or car in the dark. Generally always think ahead and if a situation is potentially dangerous, always keep your alarm to hand. Trust your instincts and if at all possible try to avoid any situation and places that you do not like
Safety Tips :
The Pocket Keyring Torch Safety Alarm is designed to increase your personal safety by being convenient and accessible whenever you require.
The alarm is intended to shock any attacker. In this respect the balance of power within a situation, which up to this point has been controlled by the attacker, is evened out. You should then take this opportunity to get away from the scene immediately. Do not rely on the alarm to attract help. If someone does come to your assistance-consider this a bonus. Your priority should be to get away as fast and as far as possible.
N.B – The Pocket Keyring Torch Personal Safety Alarm is designed to come clear of your keys in a danger situation. This is important in order that you do not lose your keys under these circumstances. Try not to keep all your keys on one keyring.
