I purchased the BT Kit for my new flat. It was the only burglar alarm kit I could find that was for self installation and had adhesive to stick up the pir sensors. I found the set up very easy and the step by step guide was clear to follow. I had a little bit of help when fixing the mounting bracket onto the wall, but apart from that I am proud to say that I installed the kit in about 2 hours. It gives me complete peace of mind. Does exactly what it says on the box:) 1 and half hour set up. Tip: use the quick setup instructions and peruse the very detailed manual later - that way there will be no confusion. Prior to purchase I sent an email query to this site and received a very quick response. The delivery was also excellent and the product well packaged. Will certainly get any accessories needed from this company. KW Liecester

BT Home Monitored Wireless Burglar Alarm Description

High quality wireless burglar alarms that are easy and simple to install. Please note that this BT Alarm kit is now supported and monitored by INTAMAC Ltd

Using Wireless PIR detectors (in the hall and lounge for example), will raise the alarm if movement occurs. The Intamac monitoring service automatically raises the alarm to you and your friends by telephone, text message and/or email whilst also sounding an 85 decibel internal siren to warn off the intruder.

This BT Home Wireless Burglar Alarm is a high quality easy DIY home alarm system which comes complete with monitoring (the first 3 months are free!). The alarm monitoring service will alert you to all alarm activations and has been stringently tested ensuring peace of mind for any home or small business buyer.

BT Home Wireless Burglar Alarm VP1000 Features:
Main Control alarm panel
2 x wireless PIR movement sensors. These movement detectors will ignore domestic cats and dogs up to a weight of 36kg providing they remain below a height of 1m.
1 x wireless magnetic door contact.
1 x keyfob for arming your alarm.
3 months free home alarm monitoring (worth £15)

What you need:
Any telephone line so your alarm panel can be monitored (if you so wish) and a nearby power socket to plug the alarm panel into.

Length of Telephone cable and Length of Power Adaptor cable are both slightly over 10ft.

Wireless Home Alarm Monitoring via the internet.
If you have Internet access, then you have the option to access your home security system account online and Intamac's monitoring fees are only 16p per day (£5 per month), which is far less than any comparable service. Alarm monitoring is an effective way of protecting your home, possessions and family. If movement is detected when your alarm system is armed, the monitoring service automatically calls your home to check for false alarms. If it is not a false alarm, alert messages are sent to you and up to 2 other people to inform them of the problem. This unique home security service alerts you to the threat so you can decide on the best action to take. Alert messages are sent by phone, SMS text message and email. You control who receives these messages. Intamac also monitor for panic attack, triggered by using the panel or keyfob within your home.

It is also possible to 'zone' your home or office so that you can part set the alarm, for example you would be able to set your alarm at home at night but not include any sensors upstairs. In this way, you will still be able to move around upstairs but the sensors on the ground floor will still be active (see page 36 -38 of the Instruction Manual).
