PIR Curtain Alarm With Chime Description
Opportunist burglars rely on unlocked or poorly secured windows and doors. The Curtain Alarm can be used to notify if someone tries to enter through the window or door.
CRIME PREVENTION The Innovative Curtain Alarm has a 30 Degree PIR sensor allowing it to detect motion in the window and door area only, reducing false alarms. Has a choice of 'chime' or a powerful 120dB 'alarm' function to warn off intruders. APPEARANCE Stylishly designed, the curtain alarm is compact and discreet allowing it to blend in with it’s surroundings and fit comfortably on to most window sills. OPERATION Turn the unit on by sliding the switch to the right for Alarm mode. The unit will sound a bleep and after a short delay the unit is active. If motion is detected within the 30 degree PIR sensor range, a loud warning bleep will sound. If motion is continually detected the siren will sound for about 20 seconds before automatically resetting itself. Slide the switch to the centre off position to switch off or reset. Slide the switch to the left to activate chime mode and this unit may now be used to notify you of visitors. This has now filled a gap in the alarm market because it allows you to leave a window open during the day or night but will still warn off any would be intruder who attempts to reach or climb in. Simply stand the unit on the window sill parallel to the window.
If protecting a door, place the unit about 1 meter from the door and looking across the doorway, remember to make sure that the unit is placed so as not to be blocked by the full opening of any window or door. The unit is designed to simply stand on a sill or other flat surface or may be hung on a screw (not supplied) in the wall.
