Infrasonic Wireless Burglar Alarm Set Up :Infrasonic Wireless Burglar Alarm :Operating instructions : The CPP-DW25 Infrasonic Wireless Burglar Alarm is a system designed to sound when someone attempts to forcibly break into your locked premises of 3000 square feet or less. It is therefore mandatory that due care is given to ensure that the premises are properly locked, including all doors, windows or other points of entry. The CPP-DW25 Infrasonic Wireless Burglar Alarm is designed to detect the opening of standard doors, sliding doors and windows. If these doors and windows were locked, a “forced break-in” would be required to penetrate, which the CPP-DW25 Infrasonic Wireless Burglar Alarm is designed to detect. CHARGING PROCEDURE 1. Turn key switch on the front of the system to the OFF position. 2. Insert the power supply jack plug into the power-input socket on the back of the unit. 3. Insert the adapter plug into a standard wall outlet socket. 4. Check that the yellow power lamp is glowing to confirm that a good connection has been made. 5. Leave plugged in for 24 hours to ensure that the battery is fully charged. IMPORTANT The unit must be charged for at least 24 hours prior to use. POSITIONING THE HOME SECURITY SYSTEM The system should be positioned on a firm surface at least 24” above the floor level, preferably in a central location adjacent to a power outlet. Remember that you have up to 30 seconds to get to the monitor with your key to turn it off, depending on the delay setting you choose. SETTING THE SENSITIVITY After correctly positioning the alarm system, ensure that the key switch is in the OFF position. 1. Insert the power supply jack plug into the power-input socket on the back of the unit. 2. Insert the adapter plug into a standard wall outlet socket. 3. Turn the sensitivity control to minimum and turn the key switch to the TEST position. The green lamp will glow and the unit will emit a short test sound. The lamp will remain on as long as the unit is in the Test mode. 4. Go to the ground floor door that is furthest from the unit and simulate a forced entry by forcibly opening the door. If the test signal does not sound, turn the sensitivity control up slightly and repeat the test until the test signal is heard when simulating a forced entry. 5. Increase the sensitivity adjustment by one setting, to allow for changes in atmospheric conditions. Now push the sensitivity knob into the VP-1605 to sesure it will not be changed when for example dusting the unit. 6. Select the ENTRY time (0, 10, 20 or 30 seconds) depending on the distance from your entry door, or a shorter delay, when all occupants are already inside premises. PLEASE NOTE : THERE IS NO EXTRA PROTECTION FROM SETTING THE SENSITIVITY HIGHER THAN NECESSARY, SUCH ACTION MAY CAUSE FALSE ALARMS. ARMING THE CPP-DW25 INFRASONIC WIRELESS HOUSE ALARM : With the sensitivity control still in the optimum position, turn the key switch on the front of the unit to the ON position and remove the key. The Red lamp will glow but the unit will not sound. The lamp will go off after approximately 45 seconds (this is to give you time to leave the premises). The HOME SECURITY SYSTEM is now armed. DISARMING THE SYSTEM On detecting an entry to the premises, the Red lamp will blink for your chosen ENTRY time prior to alarming (this gives you time to switch the unit off before the alarm sounds). Insert the key into the key switch and turn to the OFF position. The Red lamp will go off. The alarm system is now disarmed. If the key is not inserted and switched to the OFF position, the alarm will sound for 5 minutes or until the key is inserted and switched to the OFF position, whichever is sooner. USING THE REMOTE CONTROL FOB TO ARM/DISARM THE SYSTEM You can also arm the SIA-300 using the remote control. Follow the instructions above, but instead of using the key to arm and disarm the unit, you can also use one of the enclosed remote control fobs. To arm the unit, press the left button marked ARM. To disarm the unit, press the right button marked DISARM. Two remote control fobs are enclosed when you purchase the unit and more can be bought from your Dealer. PLEASE NOTE : DISCONNECTION FROM THE POWER OUTLETS OR A POWER CUT WILL NOT DISARM THE HOME SECURITY SYSTEM SINCE IT HAS AN INTERNAL BATTERY BACK-UP. THE BATTERY BACK-UP IS DESIGNED TO LAST FOR APPROXIMATELY 18 HOURS WITHOUT BEING RECHARGED. IMPORTANT POINTS : 1. The DW25 Infrasonic Wireless Burglar Alarm, like all electrical products, should not be exposed to water or excessive moisture. 2. Only approved accessories should be used with the system or your guarantee will not be valid. 3. When leaving your home for long periods of time leave a key with a trusted neighbor. 4. Normal operating temperature is within –10°C to 50°C (14°F to 122°F). Temperatures outside of this range may render the unit temporarily Inoperable. 5. The Input socket is for the expansion options.
