Guardian Dusk to Dawn Security Ceiling Light with Random On/Off facility Description
Automatically switches the light on at Dusk
The Guardian Dusk to Dawn Security Light simply plugs into any standard ceiling bayonet light socket and instantly converts the existing light into a security device. The unit is activated during the hours of darkness by the dusk to dawn sensor, and randomly switches the light on and off.
FITTING:
1. Use only a 220/240 volt 50/60Hz power supply.
2. Make sure the light is switched off.
3. Remove the bulb from the ceiling light fitting
4. Insert the bulb into the unit.
5. Place the unit back into the light fitting (max 100W bulb for open lamp shades, max 60W for enclosed shades or fittings). Electronic energy saving bulbs up to 20W can also be used. Not suitable for use with candle bulbs or 45mm round bulbs or flourescent lights.
6. Turn the light on.
OPERATION: The Guardian Dusk to Dawn Random Light will now start to operate automatically when it is dark and will switch the light on & off randomly. This will give the impression to anyone watching the house, that there is someone at home operating the light.
IMPORTANT: The unit samples the surrounding light level every 20-30 minutes. If you switch the unit on at dusk it may take up to 55 minutes to sample the light level and switch to the Random mode. If the unit does not start operating at dusk it may be necessary to reposition it in a darker location.
AUTO-RESET: In the event of a power failure the unit will automatically reset when the power is reconnected, and continue to randomly turn the light on & off during the dusk to dawn period.
CAUTION : This unit is not suitable for use in a circuit where a dimmer switch is connected or with fluorescent lights. Suitable for internal use only. This unit meets current electrical safety regulations.
