Night Jogging Alarms

Filed under: Personal Safety — admin @ 10:31 am

vvIn case you’ve been hiding your head in the cupboard and didn’t notice, Britain is in the grip of an obesity crisis and with the traditional Christmas party season just around the corner, many young men and women will be trying their best to shed some extra pounds and get in shape.

Becoming a member at the local gym is the smart way to get fit although expensive. For those of us that cannot afford a glamorous membership at the gym – the local park is where we’ll head to excercise. However, if you have a 9-5 job and with the winter nights drawing in fast – then the possibility you’ll be training in the dark is a very high one indeed.

Always be aware of your surroundings when walking, jogging or running at night. There are several precautions that you should follow when planning a weight loss ‘action plan’ :

1. Always plan to walk or run with a group of friends or another individual.

2. Never walk or run in areas that you are unfamiliar with.

3. Stay in areas that are well lit.

Personnel attack alarms are a great way to deter attackers, they emit a loud piercing sound which can be heard by anyone in the area. But as we all know it can be uncomfortable holding something whilst running or walking.

One of the best personnel alarms is the Wrist Alarm, worn just like a watch it won’t get in the way as you do your workout. The alarm can be easily attached and removed when no longer required, simply by tearing the Velcro apart. The strap is of such a length to be suitable for virtually all sizes of wrist.
