Home Security – Break Into Your Own House

Filed under: Home Security — admin @ 11:03 am

break-into-own-house“It’ll never happen to me”, how many times have we heard that said? Yet, every ten seconds a burglar simply enters another person’s premises and takes something that does not belong to them.

In today’s climate, people need to think more about the amount of security they have in their homes. Locking doors and closing windows are, unfortunately, not enough anymore. Those days are long gone.

In a recent report it was written that thieves are now targeting private homes rather than business premises due to an obvious lack of security, and, more worryingly, they were more likely to be targeted at night and at the weekend when the occupants are still in the house.

Does your home security leave a lot to be desired?

A simple test is to do your own ‘house audit’. Just lock your house as if you were going out, then walk round and try and get back in without using the keys.

Many people will be surprised just how easy it is to gain entry.

It’s then you realise that you have to make your home security a top priority.

There are a number of great burglar alarms on the market which will alert you that someone has entered your property these can be either be hard wire or wireless, there are also a number of door and window alarms, which again will alert you that someone is tampering with your property.

With the dark nights and Christmas here don’t make it easy for thieves to gain entry into your property.
