As a company director one of the biggest headaches in any workplace is that of theft, we all know that pens, pencils and the occasional paper punch do go missing, but what are you to do when the theft happens to be laptops and computer software. Millions of pounds of merchandise simply walk out of factories every year but as a director what are you to do? As you cannot watch 100% of your employees 100% of the time.

Cooking Fire Safety

Over the last few years there has been an explosion of cooking programs on our small screen, there always seems to be someone trying to impress their guests with their culinary skills or someone else showing us the correct way to boil an egg from the shores of some far-off European lake. Chefs are the new rockstars. However, it’s not all bad as this growing trend is now giving people the confidence to go and try some cooking instead of heading to the local take-away plus more importantly, it is showing us how to eat healthy.

Understandably, with people now having the confidence to attempt new dishes there can often be little miss-haps in the kitchen. Burning things, setting smoke alarms off and waving teatowels underneath them until the constant bleeping stops seems to be a passage of right for the eager cook.

However its not just in chat and game platforms, Social sites such as Twitter which encourage the use of shortened URLs with services such as tinyurl.com and bit.ly which again makes it easier to mask the true identity of the URL that you are asked to click.

  • What type of alarm, hardwired or wireless, remember that hardwire often requires you to channel out walls etc.. to help hide the wires.
  • Where to place the master keypad and what code to use, this has to be in a practical place as you don’t want to be running in and out of your property in order to activate/deactivate your alarm system.

Each morning I read the newspapers, and it genuinely feels that everytime we step outside our homes we are putting ourselves into extreme danger. According to the number of random attacks on a person in the press. I read of people going about their daily business, walking to the shops, going on a bus or just taking a casual stroll in the local park, then getting attacked, robbed or even worse.
