Over the weekend hundreds of thousands of kids will be descending onto our streets all dressed up, screaming, shouting, laughing and some will be coming to chap your door, trick or treating.
In general Halloween is a good time for adults as well as for children with many people now opting to have Halloween parties. Problems arise when people have too much alcohol and trouble flairs up. As a parent you have a responsibility to look after your own children.

With the final few days left in the mid-term break, many caravan owners thoughts will be turning to the security of their mobile homes over the long winter months ahead. As they pull into their drives for the last time of the year it will be all hands onboard, as they begin to remove the bedding, kitchen utensils, curtains before finally deflating the tyres, removing the water and gas bottles then locking the door till early next May.
With the sale of fireworks now in full swing, many businesses and households across the country will become a target for youths by setting off bangers and fireworks. It may not be fair to tar everyone with the same brush, as many mature and responsible people will be purchasing fireworks for legitimate shows and family gatherings. But the sad fact still remains that over the coming next few weeks we will hear stories in the press and TV about firework related incidents.
Home security is normally down to an individuals actions. It may be a person secures a door better by purchasing and fitting new locks – this is a positive action. However, we are all guilty of negative actions as well and the majority of times we do these things unawares that we have weakened the security of our home.
With the winter nights drawing in, the period of late night shopping begins and here at CPP we want to turn your attention to keeping yourselves and your money safe! Many shoppers seem to become complacent when in a hurry and let’s be honest when it’s dark and the weather is foul all we want is to get home where we feel safe and warm.
Many of our more vulnerable neighbours, that live within our community, will be dreading that inevitable chap on the door, come the end of the month. Looking out windows and seeing screaming kids all dressed up, looking for money, toffee apples and bags of goodies or in some instances – even worse – your possessions.
